Our Kitchen (Special Edition)

Paul’s take:
We’re calling this a special edition because this place isn’t new for us but we really like the place so we wanted to write about it.
It’s a very small cozy place. As soon as we walked in we were acknowledged by the ladies working there. One of them quickly bussed a spot for us at the window counter/shelf really. It’s a really small tight slightly cramped seating situation but, we didn’t mind. Very shortly we have our coffee and ice water. The coffee was pretty good and they kept my cup full. One of the ladies came over and took our order. Shortly after she took her order the other lady came over to take our order and we said the lady already got it. So she kind of chuckled then and was pretty happy about it all.
I ordered steak medium and eggs over easy with hash browns and one pancake.

The food arrived in a short reasonable amount of time. All of the food was cooked perfectly. The steak was on the cheaper tougher side but I expected that.
I was very happy with my meal and the small cramped old school diner was also a kind of fun adventure.
I will return.

Jeanne's take:

Did existentialist philosophers experience anxiety? Do you think Nietzsche would order a pancake ironically, because everyone loves pancakes, or would he be totally into it?

I like Our Kitchen a lot. It's a greasy spoon that does great, basic breakfasts. The coffee isn't too shabby, either.

I don't remember what I ate. Wait, no, it was a breakfast sandwich and a blueberry pancake. I can't find the pictures. It was really good. Just go there. It's worth the wait.
